A Rears and Gears Update from Murray Pfaff
We hope you don’t mind, but we couldn’t resist sending out an update with all that will be happening Wednesday night at M1 Concourse for Rears & Gears! Our host (M1 Concourse) is pulling out all of the stops to make it a magnificent evening! Yes, of course there will be Hellcat/Viper thrill rides on the track. We’ve been conducting tests for the air bag fruit toss courtesy of Axiom Graphics (they are the guys to talk to for those large format graphics and car wraps). If that wasn’t enough already, you can try your hand at operating real life construction equipment with backhoe basketball courtesy of Woodward Fab! Plus the terrain park is being built where you can drive the latest in Traxxas R/C vehicles thanks to the guys at Pilot Transport.
Many of our vendors will focus on trimming out your ultimate man cave. California Closets will showcase what they do. Dante from Global Epoxy will talk floors. Steve from Vintage Vogue will put together the swankiest furniture and decorations from eras gone by – think Mad Men. And speaking of Mad Men, Ray from RAW Designs will have his handcrafted lighting and furniture for you to inspect and admire. If your bicycle needs a tune-up, bring it out as Motorless City Bicycle Co. will have their mobile repair unit onsite with free repairs. MotorCity Auto Spa will demonstrate the benefits and installation of the XPEL paint protection system.
MotorCity Powersports will join us with pit bikes, side by sides, and more. Szott M-59 Dodge will showcase the Serial #01 of 80 Special Edition Mopar Challengers and the Super Yeti Jeep penned by Pfaff Designs. Van Guard Motors will bring some more special vehicles you can buy. Snap-On Tools will return with their fully stocked tool truck and ARESCO Lifts will show us how to maximize space in your garage.
Waterfall Jewelers will display the coolest men’s watches and more. Some of our other friends joining us include Hagerty Insurance, Classic Design Concepts, Gearhead Homes, new comer Suburban Bolt who will solve all of your fastener needs and a few others yet to be announced. There will be prizes from Kicker, HOT ROD magazine, Mother’s Polishes, and possible even a shop sized air compressor to give away?
Food / Drink –
Szott Auto will sponsor the bar and the girls from the Tilted Kilt will make sure the beer stays cold. The Detroit BBQ company will return (thanks to Ididit) with their mouth-watering fare for dinner. Tito’s Vodka will mix some special drinks for us to try and MRT Performance is our music sponsor. Monster Energy will sample all of their flavors. There will be lots of special parking, so if you have a car to show off, break it out.
It all kicks off at M1 Concourse in Pontiac, MI at 6:00 PM on Wednesday May 17th. For updates and the latest info find us on Facebook.
Registration is $25 per person prior to the event (online) or $30 at the door. Please make sure to invite a couple of friends and provide a business card for entry. Everyone looks forward to seeing you there!
